To better serve its members, Flight Safety Foundation (FSF) has created an entirely new publication, a monthly full-color magazine that replaces the seven newsletters previously published as a membership benefit. Originally titled Aviation Safety World when it was launched in July 2006, the magazine was renamed AeroSafety World in 2007. Single issues of AeroSafety World are available for purchase by FSF members for US$35, $50 for nonmembers, through our online catalog using our secure server and your credit card. Join the Foundation at a special individual-membership rate of $280 per year and receive the magazine regularly as a membership benefit. For more information, please contact the membership department at +1 703.739.6700 or membership@flightsafety.org. Aviation
safety event coming up? You can show your support for aviation safety by becoming an advertiser of AeroSafety World. See AeroSafety World Advertisements [PDF 844K] for details. While AeroSafety World will take the place of the seven publications the Foundation used to produce, the archives will remain active and back issues will still be available. At Flight Safety Foundation (FSF), we know the value of aviation safety information. We also know that the full benefit of aviation safety information is achieved only when it is distributed widely, clearly and accurately. Aviation professionals, the aviation press and respected mainstream newspapers and magazines rely on FSF publications. Member airlines often reprint FSF articles for distribution to their management, cockpit crews, cabin crews and maintenance personnel; government authorities cite FSF reports as background for official accident-investigation reports; and the world’s most respected newspapers and magazines, as well as radio and television journalists, quote FSF articles. Editorial staff members blend their experience as pilots, writers, researchers, editors, journalists and specialists in graphics and design with the aviation safety expertise of other FSF staff, FSF members and contributing authors to deliver original articles and adaptations of accident-investigation reports and technical papers. The result is consistent high quality. Original articles provide an in-depth examination of important aviation safety issues and are based on the most current information from a variety of resources, including aviation specialists, government reports, independent research and academia. Adaptations of reports from other sources provide for widespread dissemination of critical aviation safety information that otherwise might have had only a limited audience. Readers of FSF publications know that they will receive the essence of those official reports, condensed by experienced aviation specialists, in easy-to-understand language. Moreover, the cost of buying a single original official report often is greater than the cost of a subscription to an FSF publication. |
