The French DGCA hosted a dinner for FSF during the IASS at the Prince de Galles Hotel in Paris on Thursday, October 26, 2006. FSF President and CEO Stuart Matthews (center) hosted Dr. Harold Demuren (left), Director General of the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority, in the offices of the Foundation in July and briefed him on the latest efforts and activities of the Flight Safety Foundation. The Foundation offered its full support to Dr. Demuren — a long time FSF Board Member — when he was named DGCA in December of 2005. Through the efforts of the Foundation and other groups such as IATA, the Nigerian aviation industry is getting ready to prove itself through IOSA audits and be a shining example of a safe aviation system in Africa.
Flight Safety Foundation introduced its’ new publication, Aviation Safety World at a cocktail reception on June 21, 2006 at the Renaissance Mayflower Hotel in Washington, D.C., USA. FSF Chairman Ed Stimpson addresses the crowd and shows off the cover of the new publication.
