The Honeywell Bendix Trophy for
Aviation Safety 2007

presented to

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation

Gulfstream logo
For innovation in synthetic vision technologies
on primary flight displays that contribute to
risk reduction, particularly during approaches.

Gulfstream was the first business jet manufacturer to offer Enhanced Vision technology, which makes possible greater visibility at night and reduced approach minimums.

The latest display technology in Gulfstream aircraft helps pilots make faster and more accurate tactical flight decisions. Its Synthetic Vision-Primary Flight Display on aircraft equipped with suitable avionics uses the reliable Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System terrain database to produce a realistic image of the world beyond the cockpit. With its real-time, pilot-centric view, the system improves the pilot’s ability to accurately interpret the depth and textures of terrain, obstacles, approaches and runways.

Flight Safety Foundation and the award’s sponsor, Honeywell, are pleased to recognize Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation for playing a leading role in the progress of aviation safety.
