Bill Grimes

Flight Safety Foundation is pleased to recognize Bill Grimes for his contribution to the Foundation’s Ground Accident Prevention (GAP) program.

Bill Grimes, Marty Grier, Brad Johnson and Bill McBride were instrumental in developing and producing three videos that clearly demonstrate best practices in aircraft towing. FSF data show that the towing of corporate aircraft is a leading cause of ramp damage and human injury.   

The videos, which are available on the FSF Web site to ramp supervisors and workers, illustrate best practices for safely operating tow vehicles; for towing aircraft; and for general ramp safety.

These videos are important tools in the campaign to reduce aircraft damage and human injury on the ramp. The Foundation is grateful for the initiative demonstrated by these gentlemen and for the important tools they have created to make ramp operations safer.
