Aer Safety

For communicating the safety culture of Aer Lingus in a tangible, high-quality format.

Aer Safety, a publication of the airline’s Air Safety Office, is directed to the professionals who have the greatest responsibility for safety. Article content is wide ranging, including topics as diverse as the aeromedical phenomenon of somatogravic illusion, the design philosophy of automated flight systems, wake turbulence, communication in emergency evacuations, sleep problems and aircraft accidents.

Each issue contains a message from the airline chief executive, clearly reaffirming management’s commitment to safety.

The publication’s technical content is enhanced by generous use of color photographs for reader appeal.

Flight Safety Foundation and IHS Aviation Information, the award’s corporate sponsor, are pleased to recognize Aer Safety for its significant contribution to aviation safety awareness.
